National diploma in horse care NVQ 1 & 2 in horse care & management BHS Stage 1&2 full, BHS stage 3 care Dbs, safguarding and first aid.

Duties of Current Occupation

General yard duties and care for the horses, teaching childrens lessons and private adult lessons,basic first aid on horses, and record keeping for ; shoes, haylage, feed, straw etc. Groom for dressage rider when needed.

Equine Work Experience

I have over 20 years’ experience working in a busy local riding school, where I’ve developed a wide range of practical horse care and yard skills. My daily duties include handling horses for lessons and hacks, grooming, health checks, tacking up, washing down, and caring for livery horses, including administering supplements and medications where required. I also assist with vet and farrier visits, have experience working independently, and have helped with backing and training horses when needed. Alongside my yard duties, I coach children at Pony Club on weekends and help organise the daily running of the yard by allocating jobs to staff. I am reliable, hardworking, and committed to providing good, consistent care for every horse.

Specialities

Plaiting and trimming, very practical on yard and i work hard. Love learning.

Type of Ride Work

Ridden a variety of horses over the years from riding school horses to young horses. Focus is more towards the flat do have experience jumping fences.

Competition Details

Small competitions locally dressage and showjumping.
