I work full time as an office supervisor and volunteer as a groom/exercise rider in my spare time.
Groom duties include mucking out, bring in/turn out, pull/trim, tack up, hacking, schooling, jumping, feeding, tack cleaning.
Equine Work Experience
For the past 19 years I have enjoyed a successful career as an office supervisor for a motorcycle accessories wholesaler but my true passion and vocation in life is caring for horses.
In my private life I volunteer for the RDA and at Warren Hill Farm livery yard helping out as required. I share a young ISH at the same yard which I care for and exercise 3-4 times a week. I also exercise 2 ex racers (6yr & 19yr) and a 9yr old Irish TB when their owners are away.
Great customer service skills.
Motivating and empathetic team member.
Calm under pressure.
Experienced handling young fit competition horses.
Type of Ride Work
Riding since I was 11; jumping, flat work, hacking.
Lots of experience hacking many different young, green, strong and excitable horses.
During my time working at Heathlands Riding School (Saturday groom 1997-2000) I was often asked to ride the quirky ponies/horses when they misbehaved during lessons.
