Working hours are 7.30-12.30 mornings, 1 - 5.00 afternoons and working hours can will be a mixture of these. £10 per hour gross on payroll
Seeking experienced live-in groom/rider for 4-6 super nice fox hunters on private family farm. Feeding, turnout, exercising, grooming, clipping, trailering for foxhunting and local shows. Sole charge equestrian position (85% of role) covering all aspects of care for 2 super competition horses and 1 retired horse. Family help (10% of role) to include feeding and care for family dogs and providing lifts to station or school. Part Time - 24 hours spread over 6 days (flexible day off). Would suit a sympathetic experienced rider who enjoys schooling, hacking and jumping. Riding ability (guide) from BHS stage 3 and above or Novice level dressage.

We have a lovely group of liveries who all get on well and support eachother in everything they do, as well as lovely young event horses coming through the grades which makes for a happy, cheerful yard. The role would be suitable for someone wishing to further develop their skills or someone looking for a more senior role.

I haven’t completed any equine courses but have a level 2 extended diploma in animal management from sparsholt college which included equine studies

Grew up around horses, starting in a riding school when I was young and volunteering at them and being in pony clubs. I started looking after my own horse from the age of 8. Had and looked after my own horses ever since and competing in shows since that age.
