I started riding when I was 12, working on a yard in exchange for riding lessons. Once I'd proven to my mum that I was serious about riding when I was 15 my mum and I bought our first horse together. We kept him in a simple field, with outdoor shelter, self filling water troff and a hollowed out caravan as a tack room. I'd cycle to the field in the mornings, on my breaks at college and any evening my mum couldn't make it. Riding was limited to the forest and in an enclosure. When I was 15 I started working for Charlotte springhall where I was able to take my horse with me for the summer. I had my horse until I was 20 when I had to sell him after my mum passed when I was 18. I'd put him out on full loan and in my heart I knew I wouldn't be okay for a few years and it wasn't fair on him. I'm very close with his new owner who let's me ride him whenever I want, which is the best possible outcome. He's adored and I'm able ensure he's looked after.
I'm a serious people person and thrive off of being with others. I'm incredibly organised and enjoy regime. Not only am I passionate about horses but also photography, my work can be found at https://georgapead.wixsite.com/ - I have also worked for fotofabulous equine photography.
I've worked hugely in retail, hospitality and customer service. This has enabled me to learn how to manage time and people impeccably, whilst enjoying every second.
At 15 I worked for Charlotte Springhall at her dressage and livery yard. Mucking out starting at 6am, turning out, poo picking fields, feeding, bathing, cleaning the yard, tacking up for other riders and warming up horses. I also attended a number of dressage shows and 2nd groom. As well as showing my own horse myself at local level shows and jumping. At 19 I taught a friends daughter how to ride privately, I bonded very well with her mother and we are now very good friends.
I have competed in local showjumping, showing and south hants endurance.
