Denver Equestrians Riding School is looking for a friendly, full-time Office Supervisor who is available weekdays, evenings and weekends. With outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency in verbal and written communications, friendly, patient, take pride in client satisfaction, ability to organize and prioritize tasks and information. Ability to work independently. Full time employment includes vacation, staff riding lessons, and working with our amazing crew.
Full Time Barn Help

Available position for a responsible, dependable, hard working individual with no drama attached. Experience necessary, but must be willing to learn our particular procedures. Very peaceful, tranquil barn with no boarders. Duties include cleaning stalls, turnout and general care of 10 horses along with general barn upkeep and some grounds maintenance. Some care-taking of property and pets necessary when owner is out of town. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Includes living accommodations.

Equine Work Experience

My previous job was at a flat racing yard where I was head groom for 4 years. I can work well in a team but have also taken sole charge. Prior to this I have worked in a small private eventing yard which also had a few liveries. I worked and rode on a private yard/working farm when I was a teenager. This gave my a lot of experience working with horse ranging from exmoor ponies straight off the moor to ferran 8 year old horses that haven’t been handled.

Specialities

I am confident and competent working with strong fit horses as I previously worked as working groom on a racing. I also have a lot of experience breaking and backing young horses having broke my first horse in at 12 years old. I have also broken in horses to drive as sold my previous horse to a driving home having broke him in to ride and drive myself.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden young green horses to big powerful strong horses. Have galloped experienced and inexperienced thoroughbreds on the gallops at home and around race tracks such as Longfield and Goodwood this was all through my previous job. I have also hacked extensively, hunted and occasionally show jumped. I have also competed at local horse shows. I currently own an exrace horse which I will be re-training to event when I bring him back into work from his holiday.
