Equine Work Experience

I have over 25 years’ experience working in the equine industry across a variety of disciplines and have managed yards, including running my own. I’ve also worked in equine retail and sales, which has given me a strong, practical knowledge of feeding, supplements and general horse care. Since 2022 I’ve taken a break from full-time yard work after moving into the care sector. Alongside my full-time role, I have continued to manage an estate and a small herd, so I’ve remained very hands-on with horses. I’m currently a Branch Manager for a private care company, managing a small team and around 80 clients, which has strengthened my organisation, responsibility and people skills. That said, I’m really missing working with horses and would love to return to working in the industry. I’m fit and active, outgoing, easy to get along with, and I take pride in keeping horses to a high standard.

Specialities

I am happy working alone or in a team. I enjoy training younger grooms on how horses should be cared for correctly.

I am physically fit and very strong for a woman so am confident with stallions and big horses. My knowledge on feeding horses is extremely good as well as supplements and veterinary care.

I am friendly, bubbly, well spoken and well dressed and take pride in my work.

Type of Ride Work

I am happy schooling and hacking out but a riding role is not essential

Competition Details

I am happy to help out at competitions but am equally happy with a stay at home role.
