Qualifications

Sadly not, though would be delighted to have the opportunity to gain qualifications if there were an opportunity. I’m at the stage of my life now that it’s important my next career move is doing something I’m passionate about and enjoy.

Duties of Current Occupation

Recruitment, employee engagement. All aspects of HR Admin. Performance management and staff grievance’s and disciplinary.

Equine Work Experience

Sadly, I’ve never had the opportunity to work on a professional yard. Work commitments and children have been ny focus up until now. I’m now in a position where I can choose my next career path and nothing would make me happier than to have the opportunity to learn all there is to learn on a professional yard. I am 48years old and would be thrilled to start a new role working on a yard. I’m hard working and contentious , not afraid of hard work and a loyal employee. I’m confident around horses and I can ride. I’ve just started riding lessons as I was self taught as a child whilst growing up in Australia, my experience was as a happy hacker. I want to build on that experience and work on my technique. I am eager to learn all there is about running a yard and caring for horses,. Being around horses has always been my happy place and I’d be delighted to have the opportunity to wake up every morning and head to a job that I loved and that I could learn so much.

Specialities

I had horses when I was a child/teenager. Due to work commitments and children I haven’t had the opportunity to own my own horse as an adult. I ride occasionally and nothing makes me happier than to be around horses. My daughter had a shared horse and I was responsible for sorting the yard once a week, there were 8 horses. The usual duties, mucking out, bringing field horses in, changing rugs, poo picking, feeding etc.

Type of Ride Work

All three horses (stock horses) I had as a teenager were very green. I was a western rider, and did some competing in various western events. I haven’t had any horse handling training, though was lucky that caring for horses came very natural to me. I love to ride and would be delighted to secure a role where I could build my riding experience. I’m really open to all kinds of work, I would just be happy working in and around horses with the opportunity to ride.
