From the age 4 - 15 I rode horses and helped out in my local stables every weekend and most days after school. Over this time I had 3 horses of my own and competed in many show jumping competitions. Although I haven't ridden in a couple years due to selling my horses, being around horses and animals is natural to me and an environment I am very comfortable in and looking to get back involved in. I feel confident around all types of horses and although I've never done paid work in a stables, my local stables was my second home and I learnt a lot in the years I spent there. I would also help leading in events the stables held eg; leading ponies for younger kids in christmas races/events. I know how to wash and groom horses as well as prepare their feed and muck out stables.
Type of Ride Work
I have experience in flat work, hacking, jumping and I took part in one cross country event when I was 14. The second horse I had was very young and green so I also have some experience riding horses who need that extra push and can sometimes be easily spooked. The first horse I had was a cob who gave me all the confidence in the world and the last horse I bought was a show jumper for GB with his previous owner before me and I went on competing him in show jumping which is something I enjoyed.
I have competed in show jumping and dressage horse shows and have also been a groom for a family friend when they were competing in sunshine tour.
