Duties of Current Occupation

Mucking out, normal yard duties, holding horses for veterinary assessment, helping out with foaling the mares down. Preparing the foals, yearlings and mares for the sales

Equine Work Experience

I have been working with horses since the age of 6. I helped my auntie out on her riding school in Wherwell. I would help out with the mucking out, handling of the horses, tacking up, grooming and lead the horses in the lessons. I then helped out on her livery yard for 8 years before and after school and on holidays and weekends. at the livery yard I spent my time looking after the livery horses, mucking out and poo picking the fields. In 2014 I went to the British Racing School, However when I failed to pass, I took up an Level 2 and 3 Racehorse Care and Manegment Apprenticeship at Mildmay Farm and stud. I am currently looking for my future job.

Specialities

I am quick with mucking out and general yard duties. I believe that a clean yard is the best place to be, especially around people that get on and do their work properly but also have fun. My riding needs work, I know that, but I am happy to get on anything, I don't scare easily. I'm fast, and work responsibly. I love a challenge and will never say no to handling a naughty horse.

Type of Ride Work

I can ride, and have ridden racehorses. However I have high knee pain when riding, so I would prefer not to ride

Competition Details

I have competed in jumping and in-hand showing
