Over the past 2- 3 seasons I have been challenged with many different tasks, ranging from mucking out, general yard work, putting horses on and off the walker as well as exercising. Due to mainly working in the racing industry, I have learnt how to ride work to a good standard and follow trainers’ instructions well.

However, during my time working in rehabilitation, I focused a lot on schooling horses on the flat to regain muscle and for them to be able to balance and support themselves before going back on the gallops. This wasn’t just racehorses but also sport horses. During my time here, I learnt a lot about breaking in different types of horses, starting with the fundamental groundwork, all the way through to being ridden under saddle. I had many opportunities to practice my schooling over fences, both hurdles and chase fences, as well as educating the younger horses in an arena over poles for the first time.

2 seasons working on both nation hunt and flat racing yards 1 season working in pre training, breaking and rehab I enjoy producing horses from the beginning, I am very calm and sympathetic rider so work well with youngsters and nervy horses.
