Duties of Current Occupation
In relation to this role, I have worked in roles of running small teams at a trekking company when filling in for yard management , I have mucked stalls whilst working at a racing stable and done general care throughout all roles
Equine Work Experience
I have ridden for around 20 years, I am able to bandage and monitor horse health which I learnt whilst working in racing and as a veterinary nurse. I have ridden both English and western and am competent in maintaining tack and keeping it clean and tidy
Specialities
I have done a short season working on a breeding farm where I completed foal night watch, made observations and stallion handling, including yearling handling. Mares and new foals were turned out to a high standard at this estate and all paddocks were checked regularly for potential damage/ problems.
Type of Ride Work
Many years ago I use to compete at shows doing flat work/ ring events but within the last many years I have mostly done happy hacking/ trail riding, breaking and pre training alongside other trainers of ponies and Standardbreds. I have ridden a variety of horses such as fit thoroughbreds, Standardbreds, Welsh ponies, New Zealand bred station horses and many more.
