I volunteered for a couple months at an equestrian centre in Tuscany Italy. I regularly held sole responsibilities for 18 horses or had the help of one other stable hand. I have experiences with handling horses (of different temperaments and age), turning out, mucking out, feeding (hay, feed, including supplements and vitamins), watering, grooming, tacking up, treating minor injuries and more. It's really important to me to build a relationship with horses and get to understand them and build trust and I got some good practise in this during my stay in Italy.

Also, as a young teenager I volunteered at a few different riding schools and helped with mucking out and leading ponies in lessons.

I'm quite a perfectionist and am good at keeping a tidy yard and mucking out at a high standard.

I also have leadership experience from being in the Army Cadets and would often lead a group of young people in classes and other activities.

I have riding experience at an intermediate level, I can walk/trot/canter/gallop and jump 0.5m. I recently had a couple lessons in very basic dressage.

I have experience riding problem and spooky horses in lessons and out on the roads/on trails. I have quite good control with horses and I'm very patient in taking the time to understand them and their quirks.

I also have experience with hacking out alone and leading others out on hacks.
