Equine Work Experience
As I have my own horses and have been riding since I was six I’ve been in and around A professional environment majority of my life I have been to many stay away shows competing myself and helping others as a groom. We have a wide variety of courses on our yard some range from riding school ponies to top showjumping computers all of which I’m happy to handle.
Specialities
I deal with all types of horses on a day-to-day basis some young Some old which range from Shetlands up to 17’2 competition horses all of which I’m happy to work with.I currently work in a team of six girls which no one is a team leader however we all have our own roles we take charge off and seems to work very well.My main duties are mucking out tidying the yard, turning horses in an out and riding others. I’m knockout 14 horses a day I’m not normally takes me 1 1/2 to 2 hours if not quicker.
Type of Ride Work
I have dealt with many different horses over years so much are young and green some which are older and more experienced, at the age of 10 my first pony was only three years old He was already but however only knew the very basics which me and my sister brought him on To be a Showjumping pony. I have my own horse which is a 16’3 Irish sports horse who I have competed at different shows such as Hickstead and blue-chip and lots of local shows. I have also done some XC and dressage on him for fun.
Competition Details
I have done many different competitions over years such as Hickstead and blue chip how many different local shows on my own ponies and horses, while at the show I i’ll make sure all my horses are sorted out in the morning doing tasks such as mucking out making feeds giving fresh hay and water in a light ride in the morning if not complete until much later. I also Stud up, tack up And rug up weather permitting.
