Equine Work Experience
I attained the Preliminary Teacher’s Certificate and the BHS Stage 3 qualification whilst working in the computer industry and studying for the BHS exams. I train and compete in British Dressage with my own horse. I am committed to developing my career as a full time instructor / rider and to progressing in the Equine Industry within the BHS coaching framework with an immediate goal to upgrade my PTT qualification to the Stage 3 Coach certificate and thereafter work towards the Stage 4 Complete Horsemanship pathway.
I have been a member of British Dressage since 2000. I have qualified my 17 hand Oldenburg ‘San Summer Hit’ (by Sandro Hit) that I have produced since a 4 year old for many regional championships. I have represented Scotland at the Senior Home Internationals and enjoy competing. I have been fortunate to have had training opportunities with notable trainers include Charlie Hutton and Adam Kemp. I trained for my BHS examinations at the Talland School of Equitation.
