Equine Work Experience
I am knowledgeable in the equine industry and have a horse myself which I take full responsibility and care for. I got Sparky as a green four year old so have had the pleasure and experience of producing him myself. Sparky and I excel in dressage and currently compete at BD novice, I hope to peruse our skills further in the coming years. I have grown up with horses, having my first pony when I was 3 years old. I am able to groom, plait, clip, tack up/untack, ride, lunge, muck-out and turn in/out to a high standard as well as all other day to day equine jobs and care. I have done some work experience at a local riding school where I have had the chance to ride and care for many different types of horses and ponies. This gave me the opportunity to put my time management skills to the test as well as practice caring for multiple horses at one time. Completing my online course in Horse Care and Management has also widened my knowledge and allowed me to better my skills in this industry.
Specialities
I am an organised, trustworthy and reliable individual who is able to follow clear instructions. I also have good time management skills and I can be left to work independently or as part of a team. This is demonstrated by my time working at a local riding school, team dressage competitions and my performing arts qualification. I am a keen learner and have undertaken personal online courses to improve my own knowledge, I am currently completing a Level 3 Horse Care and Management online course.
