I have obtained my BHS exam Stage 1 and road safety level 1 and level 2. I now want to progress onto the next stages.

I currently support students with their work during lessons, supervising them at breaks and lunches, I support individuals and groups, I teach equine theory lessons and take SEN students to horse riding lessons and supporting them on the yard.

I have previously volunteered at a riding school and more recently have helped out on a families stables where they have around 14 horses. I am a confident rider and have ridden a variety of horses over the years ranging in sizes from 14'2 to 17'2 and different breeds. I also have experience in lunging horses and ponies of a variety of sizes up to 17'2. I have driven horses in the past with some help and training.

I have experience in all aspects of caring for a horse, routines and schedules, the importance of health, hygiene and exercise for each horse and their different needs. I volunteered at a riding school before, I have worked with and confidently ridden mares, geldings, stallions, different breeds of horses and different sizes. I have experience leading a team as I have done in previous occupations, I turn out to a high standard and am quick at mucking out and keeping a yard to high standards.

I have ridden a variety of horses, ranging in sizes from 14'2 up to 17'2 and a variety of breeds including Thoroughbreds, Irish Sports, Welsh section D's and Cob's. I have ridden problem horses and horses who have different needs in how they are ridden. I have experience riding flat work, jumping and dressage. I have had experience in watching and supporting someone in starting a horse.

I have competed previously in a dressage competition, riding competitions and in-hand showing competitions. I have supported people and family members with competitions and the preparation of the horses for the shows ranging from in-hand shows, dressage competitions, jumping competitions, driving competitions and more. These competitions have been local ones and ones further afield such as in Wales where we travelled and I supported the care of the horses, the transport, the grooming and care.
