Duties of Current Occupation
General yard work in the morning, eg. feeding, mucking out, turning out. Then exercising the horses. Followed by feeding and grooming the horses in the afternoon. Finishing up at night eg. feeding, skipping out, rugging up, and tiding up.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding for over sixteen years. I have worked as a groom and rider at a hunter and jumper yard in Canada. I worked for over four years helping run the riding school and producing sales horses. I also traveled to shows being responsible for sales horses as well as livery's horses. I then worked as a groom and rider for two years at racing and show jumping yard in Britain. From riding racehorses to clients horses in for training I rode a variety of different horses. While also being responsible for the day to day tasks of the yard.
Specialities
My specialties are schooling and developing young horses. As far as horse care I can clip, trim/ pull manes, plait, and bandage horses. I am responsible, hardworking, have an attention to detail and work well with others. I have knowledge and understanding of the hours and expectations that come along with being a working rider and groom at professional yards.
Type of Ride Work
Majority of my equine career I've spent producing and schooling show jumpers. Also with experience starting youngsters and riding clients horses whether be to be sold or for training. I have two years experience exercising and schooling racehorses.
Competition Details
I have competed in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Competing on a national level in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings in North America. Also, competing young horses in Britain.
