I have owned and ridden horses for over 15 years, and competed in a variety of disciplines. As a teenager, I began schooling my first youngster, taking her from a green four-year-old who had never seen dressage boards to a polished allrounder training to medium level in dressage and jumping up to 80cm. I am now in the process of schooling a new youngster, using what I learnt the first time to improve on my own skills as a trainer and rider.

I have ridden a variety of horses in different contexts, from young Connemaras to ex-racehorses to high-strung warmbloods. While I can and have jumped in the past, my focus is more on dressage and this is where I have trained most consistently.

I have many years of experience competing, including in BD affiliated dressage. In previous years, I have qualified for and competed at Area Festivals and the U25s National Championships at Sheepgate. As a young rider, I trained and competed under BYRDS with Julie Hugo-Ross and saw a massive improvement in my ability under her tutelage. At university, I competed on our trophy-level BUCS team, as well as acting as reserve for the championship team, in dressage and jumping with style.
