Equine Work Experience
I have previously worked on liveries, competition yards, stud farms, hunt yards and rescue centres. I studied at Talland and prior to this I completed an apprenticeship in horse management ran by KEITs. Currently I am working on a Hanoverian stud where we pride ourselves on maintaining fantastic temperaments with the longevity of the horse in mind. I come with a wealth of experience and confidence with all kinds of horses and all kinds of stable management.
Specialities
Producing youngstock and handling stallions. I focus mainly on groundwork with the horses so they are ready for someone to get on and back, I can also help once on board although I feel my specialties are from the ground up. I work particularly well with young horses. Well experienced and confident with breeding and also hunt horses. I have worked with a multitude of different horses and different owners and am confident in my sphere. I work well alone and as part of a team.
Type of Ride Work
I have competed up to medium level dressage and county level showing. I pride myself on being a sympathetic and soft rider. I am able to give nervous horses confidence and happy to take anything out hacking to give it a nice experience. Previously I have been hired to maintain hunt horses fitness. This is a job I really enjoyed. I am now taking in ex racers to retrain, as well as welsh C ponies to break and sell to the showing community.
Competition Details
I have competed to medium level dressage, however I am currently competing at elementary level and looking to step up to medium over the summer. I have competed at county level showing both in hand and ridden. This is in breed specific classes and also ridden veteran classes.
