Previous 2 week work experience at a riding school which also doubled over as a Connemara stud yard, and have assisted in the teaching of RDA students in the school and with leading. I also Groomed and prepared one of the RDA horses for an online dressage test. In addition I completed 2 weeks work experience at college where we assisted in the exercise of a horse on the treadmill, I also warmed up and cooled down some of the horses when the staff were riding. I received very positive feedback regarding both placements and have achieved distinctions in most of my units last year achieving a double distinction over all.

Experiance working on a busy yard with 64 horses as a student at Hadlow college i have worked with some youngsters in the stable, I have been previously assigned a yard of 8-15 horses and asked to assist other students and to run yard jobs (mucking out, sweeping the yard, cleaning windows and doors on stables) and additional jobs ie ( poo picking and fence fixing) which I did to a high standard and received praise for my hard work. I can complete jobs to a high standard,.

I have ridden a mixture of well schooled horses and green horses. I am happy to get on most horses as long as they are not dangerous or too hot headed, I only started my riding lessons 3 years ago when I decided to start college however am up to par with most students on my course who have been riding for the whole lives, I am eager to learn and will try my best at everything. I can school a horse on the flat and can jump 90cm however I progress quite quickly.
