Qualifications

20+ years of equine experience as described Licensed Practical Nurse - State of Florida, USA CPR/ACLS (Cardio Pulmonary Recitation; Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Youth Protection Trained (Boy Scouts of America - Youth organization)

Duties of Current Occupation

Sole charge; experience w/horse and barn mgmt, encompassing all usual skills and requirements; great work ethic and energy; Experience w/eventing, but more recently w/dressage; quick study, excellent work ethic. Please see CV for details.

Equine Work Experience

Former working student for eventing instructor who trained w/US event team. Attended equine extension classes - University of Portland. Owned and operated two of my own farms. United States Pony Club: District Commissioner: leadership and teaching - coached Pony Club evening team to a regional win. Coached winning regional quiz (barn/horse mgmt) team at National Championships. Competed at low-level dressage and eventing. Breeding experience. Skilled at all aspects of barn mgmt, and maintaining a safe and tidy barn. My nursing background, and career as an A&E nurse, have assisted me in being able to care for horses with acute and chronic medical problems. Excellent at grooming, bandaging and wrapping, etc. Very experienced driving a 3-horse horse horse box. Training level dressage rider - can exercise horses, lunging etc. Experienced at working with children both personally and with youth organizations (school nurse/scouting); multiligual; can do basic farm maintenance/handy work.
