Qualifications
I obtained all my GCSEs at secondary school, all above a B grade. I am yet to obtain my A Level results but I am predicted 3 A’s.
Duties of Current Occupation
General yard duties, including mucking out stables, poo picking, ragworting, turning in and out - grooming tacking up, bathing, clipping etc. Experience with range of horses from Shetlands, Warmbloods to Shires and drafts. Confidence with any breed.
Equine Work Experience
I have owned horses since the age of 4 and have grown up around horses my whole life. I have a strong passion for equines and I have an extensive amount of knowledge regarding general horse care. I have over the years built up knowledge around horse care such as appropriate diets, ways to look for any health issues and ensure the horses that are in my care have access to the best that I can offer. My main experience is that I have worked with very large horses reaching 17.3 hands and 18.2 hands so I have confidence around any size horses and I am very capable of controlling most situations that can occur with most horses.
Specialities
I specialise in handing most breeds of horses as I have owned horses since a young age. I have experience working with a range of breeds which means I am extremely confident with working with a range of horses. I currently have a Latvian Warmblood myself but previously owned a Draft X Cob so I have confidence in riding a range of horses, some which have behavioural quirks such as rearing, bucking and extreme spooking, this does not bother me and I have confidence in every element of riding.
Type of Ride Work
My speciality is ensuring the horse is working in a controlled and pleasant manner with good pace and I manage to keep rides interesting and diverse for my horse. Riding or course depends on what I feel the horse excels at and is best suited for them as an individual. My preferred riding is Dressage and Groundwork with hacking once or twice a week. Jumping of course is also an option if that is what the horse excels at.
Competition Details
I do not tend to compete on a large scale although I have taken my horses to small scale shows before.
