Qualifications

I haven't achieved any equine related courses as of yet but this is something I am keen to undertake.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding horses for around 13 years and had 2 jobs in a professional capacity, as well as volunteering to assist with horses that have behavioural difficulties. Within this, I have had experience of competing, flat work, jumping and hunting. I have had 2 years experience breaking young green horses in. I have had around 6 years experience in competing. I am able to ride dressage horses at a basic level, though I am keen to expand my knowledge in dressage itself.

I am keen to undertake any opportunity afforded to me in this role to enhance both my experience and understanding. Looking after horses has always been my passion and I am willing to undertake any role no matter how big or small.

Specialities

I have had a wide range of experience with foals, stallions and broodmares. I have had experience riding and competing Stallions as well as day to day maintenance of Stallions and Broodmares. I have had a lot of experience getting foals used to handling.

I do not have any professional experience of leading a team, though I am keen to learn any skills needed for this.

I turn out to a high standard and I am quick at mucking out and keeping a tidy yard.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden young horses, green horses and problem horses and have completed flat work, jumping and hunting. I have had a lot of experience in starting a horse.

Competition Details

I have worked in a competition yard for around 10 months, but I haven't had experience of being a competition groom. This is something I am keen to expand my knowledge in and take any opportunity afforded to me to do this.
