Not as of yet but currently in the process of applying to study at bishop Burton college in September.
Duties of Current Occupation
Currently taking a break from plumbing as I'm looking to start a new eqine based career. I work casual on a local yard completing all yard duties, exercising the liveries put hacking and starting basic groundwork with 2 Welsh youngsters.
Equine Work Experience
Iv spent a lot of time around horses intimitently throughout my life but only recently since lockdown being able to concentrate on making this a career choice. Iv worked on a small yard for a year where iv gained experience in yard mangment, riding, handling youngsters and clipping. I'm a confident rider and have rode a range of horses of different abilities although iv not had any lessons and have only hacked out so this is where I'm looking to improve. I loan 2 horses at present one of wich is a 4 year old clydsdale recently backed. I am confident around horses as a whole and I'm looking forward to gaining further experience and knowledge from people in the field.
Specialities
I have experience with a range of horses on and off the ground but I'm looking for a more intense learning experience in the equine field before I go on to study at Bishop Burton. I have great communication skills and find it easy to work within a team aswell as lone working using my initiative. I am hard working eager to learn, I'm a good listener and open to constructive criticism. I have always had an interest in horses and recently my circumstances have aloud me to fulfil my ambitions.
Type of Ride Work
I have riden a veriety of horses but am yet to encounter something sharp or challenging. I have riden a young Clydesdale and helped bring him hacking out in heavy traffic etc. Iv done some small jumps on an experienced horse and enjoyed the new challenge. I have some general knowledge of youngsters as I'm currently learning the basic groundwork with 2 Welsh 2 year olds.
