I have withdrawn recently from an animal science degree as I realised I wished to pursue a career more directly related to my interests and passion in the equine industry.

I have experience of the following: Starting and backing youngsters at a stud farm General yard maintenance First Aid treatment Handling stallions Feeding, watering, mucking out and turning out regimes in all weathers Worming Turning out to a high level Bandaging Cleaning tack to a high level Clipping Instructing young riders Working with RDA (Wakefield)

I have worked with stallions and brood mares along with youngstock (Combe Farm, Devon), with an affiliated judge and trainer for entry to HOYS (Bedfordshire) as well as working on a hunt and race yard (North Yorkshire).
Teamwork in non-equine settings also includes livestock management (Stirley Farm), lambing season (Upper House farm Shropshire) and leading a worming and parasite treatment programme as part of mobile veterinary clinic (South Africa).

I have worked with various types of horses including riding green and inexperienced horses, race horses, starting youngsters and most recently I have backed a 6yo gelding producing a lovely little all rounder. I have experience in jumping, flatwork and hacking out. Due to working with a whole spectrum of horses I have learnt to appreciate the psychology of the horse, body language and behaviour and how important these aspects are when backing and training them.

I have helped out at a competition and sales yard, which consisted of presenting horses to prospective buyers and helping to set up and run competitions at the yard. (Bradshaw Road Stables) I have also taken part in local competitions and Pony club events.
