- After having kept horses in the past, I am FINALLY in a position where I can start looking for somewhere that I can begin training towards either an apprenticeship or other qualifications so that I can jump straight into an equine career!
Qualifications
I am looking to gain some experience as a stable hand with a view to working towards an apprenticeship. As an adult learner, I can appreciate the position would be to learn and work and plan to take full advantage of a position offered to me.

Duties of Current Occupation
My duties currently include care and monitoring, weight and welfare management, exercising, cleaning kennels and grooming.
Equine Work Experience
I have owned horses in the past as a part livery basis on a schooling yard so have some basic knowledge of brushing, feeding, tacking up, plaiting tails and some very basic riding knowledge. It was a while ago so my skills will need 'brushing up' a little.
I particularly enjoyed keeping my horses looking gorgeous with plaiting manes and tails, and for their stalls to look just as good as they did. (No one wants to see a pretty horse in a dirty stall!)
Specialities
My horses were kept on a part livery basis on a popular schooling yard so I have some basic experiences of being around a busy yard as well as general equine care including brushing, feeding, tacking up, plaiting tails and some riding and hacking knowledge. I particularly enjoyed keeping my horses looking gorgeous with plaiting manes and tails, and for their stalls to look just as good as they did. (No one wants to see a pretty horse in a dirty stall!)
Type of Ride Work
I have owned a couple warm blood crosses and a light cob in the past which I had lessons on as well as a few different schooling ponies.
