Qualifications

Although I have no qualifications in the equine industry I do have all my GCSE’s and have sat Sport Science in college and even sat a year at uni.

Duties of Current Occupation

To enhance and further a child’s education while also making sure they get enough fun out of every activity.

Equine Work Experience

I have always had at least 3 horses, my mums always had them before me and my grandma before that. So I live, breath horses, from breading them and breaking to buying at ages of 10 and me learning how they work. I’ve had experience with some of my horses that are more laid back and need a budge to go and even ones you don’t even need to kick. I have rode friends horses/ ponies when need selling or the jockey is to nervous. I am up to 5 horses at the moment with just loosing my oldest man at 35. I own 2 Irish show cobs, 1 show hunter, 1 welch D and my very first pony that is to sweet to sell. I do a range of showing, to working Hunter, to family horse to a little in hand. So my weekends are normally full of bathing and 4:30 am starts. I am used to a little rude manners and always on my toes with horses that are quick, but I suppose the naughtier ones have the bigger personalities.

Specialities

I am a very caring person when it comes to horses/ animals in general, I’ve grown up to believe animals are family. I take care to the best of my ability and I am very confident in doing so. It takes a lot to scare me of from a situation standing alone or working as a team. I am not afraid to get stuck in and get my hands dirty. I also pride myself on that I am a very quite rider, I’m very calm within certain situations but can find my voice when needed.

Type of Ride Work

I have all types of work under my belt, as I show my horses I do a lot of ground work, lunging, long rein and also a little pole work sometimes. I also like to do a little jumping with my welch D so I like to set a course of 5-7 jumps in the field sometimes.

Competition Details

I compete in a lot of local shows in my area throughout the summer, I also take part in winter shows such as North West Open Chamionships. I also venture down to equifest once a year. I have also down a lot of agricultural shows and take part in qualifiers when I can.
