Qualifications

I have just finished my A levels, I got a D in English language and B in photography. I’m not the most academic person so i try not to dwell on these results. I know 100% I work best doing an activity, something physical and involved. I have not completed any equine qualifications as it’s always just been a hobby but I’d really like to have some one day!

Equine Work Experience

I have been around horses almost my whole life. I have a pony of my own, I have looked after him every day for four years and he has helped me with my confidence and experience. My other equine experience is working on a race yard, I mucked out, rode and put horses in fields/walkers. I worked on a race yard for winter as extra help but chose I wanted to work more at the kennels and aim for a full time position with horses.

Specialities

I’m a very hard worker, pay attention to detail and am generally a confident & energetic person. I have recently learnt how to clip which could be something of use. I can work alone and in a group, working with people does not effect the time it takes me to complete a task. I would say I’m a pretty capable rider I lack confidence in jumping but hacking and schooling I enjoy a lot and have a very well balanced seat. I think I would be a perfect fit as I am such a hard worker and hate days off!

Type of Ride Work

The pony I have now and ride the most is a 20 year old welsh c. When i started riding him he had lots of problems; Bombing off in the school Very strong Didn’t listen to commands Refusing jumps Didn’t hack alone and only with horses he likes Manner problems 4 years later he is the best behaved horse I’ve ever met, he rides out alone and is bombproof, he schools incredibly and in an outline. Jumps like a champ and hasn’t refused in a jump in ages. I have ridden racehorses, 4 year olds

Competition Details

I have competed at local shows only mainly due to financial reasons. I would love to compete professionally one day as it has always been a dream but currently I’m happy focusing on spending personal time with my horse.
