Equine Work Experience
I've had experience working with horses for 9 years, I followed my passion and graduated college in Cambridge with an Extended National Diploma in Equine Management and then followed to study for a degree in FdSc in Equine Performance with Business. My involvement with horses has been broad, and I had worked with a wide range of sports horses, riding school horses, and RDA horses which all fell into a large range of ages, breeds, and capabilities.
Specialities
I am excellent at working under pressure, in a time frame to a high and acceptable standard, and paying extreme detail to ensure the welfare of horses and riders, myself, and the yard. I am quick and efficient in mucking out and general management duties. I have sparse knowledge of certain fields in the industry and I am looking to expand this knowledge and progress further 💡
Type of Ride Work
Having ridden since I was 11 years old, I had often only ridden riding school horses and not progressed largely for years. Moving onto college, I had the opportunity to ride show jumpers, eventers, and dressage horses that were on break and expand my riding knowledge. I do not hold much experience with breaking horses or green horses but I have experience with problem horses. I do not ride at the moment, but I am not afraid to get on and get on with it. Speed and height doesn’t phase me 😊
Competition Details
One of my FdSC Modules involves setting up and running an event.
This whole event is set up by a team of two, and we’ve handled everything from sponsors, entries, risk assessments, refreshments and so on.
