Take some charge of running yard on my own. Prepare feed whilst checking any special requirements and supplements/medication for the individual horses. Responsible for cleaning stable areas and yard. Ensuring stores and tools are correctly placed and in good working condition. Handle horses when placing to graze and returning to stables. Putting horses on/off the walker. Washed and groomed horses. Prepared horses for riding lessons. Assisted in lead rein lessons. Help load horses. Help travel horses. Move unbroken youngsters/foals/mares & foals. Feed round, hay round, look after field kept horses.

I have worked with young stock ranging from newborn to 4years. Been sole groom so can take charge and always turn out to a high standard.

I have been riding a variety horses, from classic riding school horses, ex-racers, youngsters and ex-competition horses, for 15 years. I have jumped up to 1m, and taken part in some low level dressage in this time too. I am keen to keep expanding riding experience through training and other general knowledge.

I unfortunately have never been given the opportunity to compete myself, although I have organised a virtual competition during the covid months, including prelim dressage tests and low level showjumping. As well as this presentation and preparation of a competition is something I complete to a BTEC Merit standard at Brooksby Melton College.
