Equine Work Experience

I have been riding horses for the past 13 years of my life. Throughout this time I have owned my own horses, where I have competed up to 1.10 in jumping competitions, I have competed in cross country events. I have also done low level eventing and working hunter shows. I also have worked in a busy dealing yard, my role was to ride and assess a large selection of all types of horses. Throughout my day I helped out in doing general yard duties, preparing horses for sale and for shows. I have worked in a trekking centre, dealing with many different nationalities of clients on treks, teaching them the basics of horse riding. I  have also broken and schooled numerous horses, cobs and ponies for the trekking centre. I have also worked in a competition yard, mucking out, handling, bandaging, and hacking out the competition horses. I have experience of carrying out all yard duties on a daily basis- feeding, mucking out, washing, bandaging, lunging and riding etc.

Specialities

I work well both alone and in company. I am a sociable, hard working and helpful individual. I have handled a range of different horses and I am confident when doing so. I am hardworking carrying out all stable duties and ensure everything is done correctly.
