Equine Work Experience
I started my professional showjumping career on 128 ponies and have since competed up to 140 including an area trial, both nationally and internationally with a strong BSJA and FEI record with horses I have produced myself from breaking through to those international classes.
Specialities
Professional Show jumper, with a wealth of experience alongside a love and tact for educating young horses to an exceptional level. Having completed many years of training and working for other professionals, then running a family yard, I am now looking for a long term freelance position to support setting myself up externally, and independently.
Type of Ride Work
Built up experience and knowledge through a stubbing court apprenticeship with Kirsty Hardstaff. Developed an eye for purchasing promising young horses, many of which I have successfully produced and jumped myself. Worked at SHL Equestrian in Ireland Both jumping and working with broodmares and foaling. Bred and foaled 2 of my own personal horses. Kindred a love for working with young horses, and a knack for producing them to the highest standard for sales and age classes.
Competition Details
Based myself in Belgium for 6 months; buying and selling, alongside jumping my own on a small tour and age classes. Become proficient at communicating with clients whilst selling horses, and matching potential buyers with the correct horses for a successful partnership. A strong understanding of working with international clients, markets and the standard that international yards are run and kept to. Competently run my own family professional showjumping yard of 12 boxes, including teaching.
