Equine Work Experience

17 years of knowledgeable and super attention to detail and routine when caring for horses. Worked for 1 event rider, 2 livery yards and 1 riding school. Volunteered at BS Shows, Dressage to music and local showjumping events. Rode plenty of different horses throughout my life, specially at college and university teaching some horses outline. Always happy to help other people with their horses for something in return.

Specialities

I have a skill of calming down unconfident mares helping them feel less stressed in the arena and ring. Very confident out hacking on very flighty horses which may spook at any given moment. Regain secure seat at all times giving the horse confidence to continue. Confident riding in big groups of horses whilst jumping hedges.

Type of Ride Work

Riding horses to gain more suppleness, bend and correctness in their shape, using different school manouverments and poles to achieve this. Confident in different jump exercises and courses to help improve horses shape and skill. Very confident out hacking popping any style of plant/log if safe both sides. Confident in lunging and long reining with different devices to help achieve topline and balance. Happy to ride any horse without being told much/if any about their history.

Competition Details

Competed in plenty of unaffiliated SJ/DR/ODE/HT competitions in 10 years riding way up to BE novice respectively and BS Newcomers. Confident in all XC jump styles and happy to give things a go at all times. Confident in competition environments respecting other riders and their space.
