Qualifications

I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in horse management which I completed at Riseholme College.

Duties of Current Occupation

High level of organisational skills, constant risk assessments and planning. Making sure that people in the correct places at the correct times. Keeping correct and accurate records and sole charge of a yard including differing types of competitions.

Equine Work Experience

I have personally owned an ex team chaser chestnut mare, an ex (old) 4* eventer, a hunter and currently have a semi retired show jumper. I have had the privilege of being taught to ride by the Woodhead family and I have continued to have lesson with Amy, Holly and Ian Woodhead along with Ros Canter. I have also worked for both the Woodhead family, Ros Canter and a local family.

Specialities

I have worked with; stallions, competition horses, young stock from foals to 4 year olds, retired horses, eventers, dressage horses, event horses, show jumpers and hunters. Along with family horses and children. I have been in sole charge on a yard and also worked as and team. I pride myself on a high turn out as I always want the horses to look their bests for the riders. I also like to keep a tidy yard and make sure that everything is stocked and ready for the next time it is needed.

Type of Ride Work

I have completed my own horses to novice dressage, evented to 100 and show jumped up to 110. I have ridden, dressage horses including stallions, event horses, hunters, show jumpers and happy hackers. Along with breakers and riding school horses.

Competition Details

I have completed my own horses to novice dressage, evented to 100 and show jumped up to 110. I have been a competition groom for Holly Woodhead and helped Ros Canter at events. The local family yard I was at I was a home and away groom when needed. Every yard I have worked at has been a competition as well as home based roles.
