Duties of Current Occupation

I have previously worked in a riding school and livery yard where I carried out all normal duties. I also worked for a horse charity so learnt a lot of specialist first aid. I also studied equine science at uni for 5 years.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding and working with horses since I was 7 years old. I have previously worked in a riding school and livery yard in which I had to undertake the daily duties such as mucking out, grooming, bringing in, turning out and feeding. At lincoln college I have studied a level 3 in equine management, a HNC in equine management and also studied equine sports science and coaching at Bishop Burton College. In all my years of learning I have worked with a range of different horses from riding school ponies to youngsters, mares, stallions and competition horses. I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of working with horses and am always eager to learn! I most recently worked at Bransby Horses Charity where I experienced a range of welfare cases and was able to help with veterinary incidents as-well as working with serious cases on their issues. I also had lots of experience with big herds in this job.

Specialities

I have worked with foals, stallions, brood mares, welfare cases of all different types and also fit competition horses. I can carry out all normal yard duties to a high standard and have a wide range of equine first aid knowledge from working at Bransby Horses charity. I can lunge, long rein, tack and untack, groom to a high standard and feed, rug and muck out.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden since I was 7 years old and would say I am a competent rider. I mainly rode the liveries and riding school ponies but have ridden a range of horses throughout college. I have jumped and ridden on the flat.
