I have worked on riding schools since I was 12, then I bought my own ex racer that had been abandoned since racing for a few years, I had to bring her back to a condition where she was fit and strong enough to withstand work and then started retraining her. A few years down the line she displayed signs of kissing spine and gastric ulcers so she was seen and treated by the vets however post treatment I had to care for her and administer medication, then bring her back into work for the second time.
I am very enthusiastic about horses I have years of yard experience having helped out on various yards since I was 12, I am efficient but like to have things done to a very high standard. very health and safety aware. I have studied equine management for the last two years and I finish June 2022.
I have ridden difficult horses and have rode many horses at different levels. I have retrained, restarted and rehabilitated my own mare. I have rode a variation of ages of horses during my time in college. I love riding anything challenging because I like to be kept on my toes and enjoy a challenge. I enjoy jumping and I am slowly building my confidence back up to jump bigger fences after a bad fall. I generally just enjoy riding, caring for and building a bond with each horse I work with.
I don't have any competition experience in terms of work as of yet however I used to help the showjumper that I used to help out on her yard when she would go and compete for a few years. I would tack up her horses and have them groomed and ready to be warmed in and jumped.
