Currently completing my stage 1 BHS ride and care, with hope in that I can go on to part take in the other stages in the future
Duties of Current Occupation
Generalised running of a pub, looking after guests, staff, money, due diligence of a kitchen, health and safety regulation, hold a personal licence to sell alcohol, responsible for opening and closing of the business
Equine Work Experience
I love the idea of horses as therapy and am a volunteer for the RDA, riders for Disabled Association Wirral and Chester branch. I have helped out a few times as a volunteer at a local horse sanctuary, can help out whenever I can at my local riding center I can tack up, unpack and rug to an extent, place on a headcollar, lead to and from a field, although my hands on experience is limited I am always willing to learn and develop. I am a volunteer for a local horses rescue centre, involving mucking out, turning out, bringing in, grooming, working with older horses that are involved with rehabilition, working with foals both abandoned and developing youngsters Working with older horses, companion abused, horses developing their confidence in people, Shetlands in retirement, and those relinquished by their owners that can no longer cope before, during and after procedures for rehabilition and development
Specialities
I can look after the general needs of a horse however I have never had one myself, I know what is expected of me. Love to ride and can jump up confidently I love being involved, getting dirty being very hands on with the welfare of the horse, I am not 100% confident within myself but being around horses and involved with them gives me a drive and determination nothing ever has I enjoy working with horses during rehabilition, development and rescue circumstances, helping them regain confidence
Type of Ride Work
I can walk, trot both working rising and sitting, canter, gallop and jump 1meter I take part in charity hacks on the road, bridle paths and along the beach Within my stage 1 I am always learning and riding different horses for different experiences I enjoy taking park in hacking and have been trusted by the riding schools to help the instructers with the less confident and accomplished riders by being the rear of the group for safer rides
Competition Details
I have never been involved with competion horses, been to a competition or competed, but the prospect and opportunity would be fantastic
