Equine Work Experience
I am 35 and have been riding since age 4. I grew up riding at a local yard in Devon, had three of my own ponies and competed in local shows, Pony Club events, show-jumping, dressage and cross country. Through my teenage years I assisted with kids' riding lessons, eventually helping to bring on the ponies, schooling/ handling. Have taken groups out on hacks, beach rides/ open countryside.
Have ridden western style and ridden on trekking holidays in Italy, Spain and the Azores. I have volunteered at Ham Polo Club, tacking the horses up, bandaging, taping tails, washing down, mucking out. I have helped at several yards, both in south west London and the Devon area, over the years on a voluntary basis, grooming, mucking out, handling, turning out, feeding, exercising. I am personable and a good communicator, very good people skills.
