Equine Work Experience

Throughout the ages of twelve to fourteen, I had a pony out on livery on a riding school property that both ingrained an extensive understanding of horse care and a valuable patience with them born out of the tough nature of the pony in question. Throughout this years, I undertook training and experienced first hand every aspect of what it means to work with horses from grooming, stable care and food to working with the school's horses and learning dynamics. Though being the only one responsible for my own pony's welfare, it was that area I most thrived and this was formative in a way that holds no doubt that these are skills I will always be able to count on. Further on, because of the personal experience I had handling a difficult, temperamental pony at a young age, I developed the skill of working with different equine behaviours and analysing a situation for the best way to approach each horse and their personality.
