I have GCSEs and A Levels, and have just finished a university degree in photography. Although I have no equine qualifications I am really interested in the idea of working towards getting my BHS stage 1.

I have been riding for 15 years, even though I have not owned my own horse I have so much experience with lots of different types of horses, from steady cobs, to competitive show jumpers. I have also had a few loans in the past where I have learnt so much about caring for a horse that relies solely on me. I have been riding at a yard for 9 years where I am used to mucking out 4 horses in a morning to myself and then exercising the horses. It is something I am really passionate about and I am willing to get stuck in with anything. I haven’t done much competing in the past but I am comfortable jumping an 80cm course and I enjoy flatwork and love hacking. Every week for the past 7 year I have been volunteering teaching kids horsemanship and learning how to ride, and even done a bit of instructing before.

I am comfortable with all types of riding, minus hunt work I would say. I enjoy jumping and even though I can only jump 80cm course I am keen to learn a lot more about the discipline. I enjoy flatwork and can complete a test to prelim/elementary.

I have done a few small and local competitions.
