I have achieved my BHS Stage 2, BHS Stage 1 and Ride Safe Award. I also completed my Level 3 Extended diploma in equine management in June 2021.

Duties of Current Occupation

General yard work to a very high standard, exercising horses including fit competition horses, youngsters etc. Communicating with liveries to ensure their and their horses needs are met to an exceptional standard.

Equine Work Experience

Currently employed at a large livery yard and riding school. Here I work across multiple of the livery yards, each having 10-20 horses on them. Additionally, I aid the riding school when needed through teaching and yard work. From November 2021 till September 2022 I was employed at a high end competition/livery yard. This involved caring for and exercising a range of horses from competition horses to youngsters and pony club ponies. I was employed at Ham House Stables a dressage based livery yard from September 2019 till November 2021 as a groom. Here I cared for the horses, schooled client horses and aided in teaching lessons.

Specialities

I have achieved my BHS stage 1 and 2 as well as currently working towards my Stage 2 Teaching. I am quick, efficient and work to a high standard with all yard jobs. I am experienced in working with fit competition horses as well as having worked with youngsters. I have experience teaching beginner and novice clients, including pony club groups.

Type of Ride Work

Due to my college course and previous work experience I have ridden a large range of horses from fit competition horses, green horses and youngsters, ex-Paralympic horses. I have ridden this large range of horses out hacking, schooling and show jumping.

Competition Details

I have been involved in organising and running showjumping competition as part of an 'event management' module in my college course.
