Qualifications
I hold a high school diploma and have built strong practical equine skills through hands-on work. I’m keen to continue developing professionally and open to further equine certifications or training.
Duties of Current Occupation
In my past roles I’ve been responsible for day-to-day horse care, monitoring horse health, cleaning stables, feeding, exercising, and keeping the yard running smoothly. I’ve also handled general maintenance around the property and worked closely with
Equine Work Experience
I’ve worked hands-on with horses for several years, doing everything from feeding, mucking out, grooming, and exercising, to managing their general wellbeing. I’ve overseen training programmes, handled injured or unwell horses, and collaborated with vets when necessary. I’m also used to maintaining paddocks, fencing, and stable areas, and keeping the whole facility safe and organised.
Specialities
I’m confident with a variety of horses and have spent several years working closely with them, focusing on behaviour, groundwork, and routine management. I’ve run training sessions, helped beginner riders build confidence, and managed multiple horses at once. I also have experience leading small teams from my hospitality management roles, so I’m comfortable taking initiative and supporting others.
Type of Ride Work
I’ve ridden a range of horses and focused mainly on basic flatwork, confidence building, and general exercise routines. I also incorporated groundwork and schooling into training programmes to help horses develop good manners, strength, and balance.
Competition Details
While I haven’t worked as a competition groom, I have helped riders build confidence and ridden horses as part of general training programmes. I’m very comfortable in structured yard environments and happy to support competition prep if needed.
