Assistant Stable Manager at a well-established riding club in Kyalami, South Africa 2010-2012

Responsibilities: •Primary care of member’s horses (on average 70 horses at any given time). •Client liaison and communication, including social interaction with club members/clients. •Management of grooms and ground staff, including daily rosters and ensuring all tasks were performed to the correct standards. •Basic maintenance around the property. •Calling in and assisting the vet where necessary as well as providing aftercare such as bandaging, injections etc. •Record keeping (daily updating of diary, shoeing, veterinary). •Schooling/training and competing of member’s horses. Daily riding included 4-6 horses depending on requirements. •Leading of weekend hacks. •Assisting with show jumping and cross-country course building, as well as being involved in many aspects during the running of various riding competitions at the club.

Dressage - prelim level Show jumping - 1.00m Eventing - EV80 and previously training for EV90

I mostly competed on my own horses who were TB's off the track and re-schooled for the above disciplines.
