Recently completed my Bsc in Equine Science at Hartpury Univeristy
Equine Work Experience
Working as a groom has enhanced my ability to carry out daily routine jobs to an industry-standard, these include: mucking out, turning in/out, preparing feeds, tack cleaning, poo picking, preparing hay nets and exercising. Additional experience includes: handling competition horses, ex-racers and young stock as well as being able to bandage, main and tail plait, quarter mark and hot cloth. Working in the industry has enabled me to understand the welfare involving a variety of horses.
Specialities
People skills, especially with young children as I currently work as a support worker in a community nursery with children from 6 months to 6 years. Recently completed a foaling season at Tweenhills, monitoring over 70 broodmares across the season and assisting in foaling.
Type of Ride Work
Both my flatwork and jumping are of a high standard including experience breaking in and re-training young and older horses.
