Level 2 Diploma in Veterinary Care Assistance (in progress). Completed courses in animal behaviour, handling, and welfare. First aid knowledge for small animals and companion animals.

Cared for and handled a variety of animals, including feeding, grooming, cleaning enclosures, providing enrichment, and supporting behavioural training. Assisted in rehoming and general welfare tasks.

Some horse experience through volunteering and work placements, including handling, grooming, and basic exercise. Comfortable with young horses and assisting with turnout and daily care routines.

Experienced with rabbits and small mammals; comfortable handling stallions and foals under supervision. Assisted with high-turnout environments and have supported teams in daily care routines. Strong understanding of animal behaviour and enrichment.

Limited ridden experience; mainly familiar with flatwork, groundwork, and supporting ridden horses. Confident handling horses on the ground and assisting riders safely.

No direct competition experience with horses, but experienced in supporting animals in high-stress environments and maintaining calm, controlled care during handling and transport.
