Equine Work Experience

I have volunteered on a riding school for 2 years learning the day to day running of a very busy riding school. I have had work experience at a stud/livery yard as well as working and living on a busy livery yard for the past two years.

Specialities

I am well rounded in all areas of horse care and management. I did a year of ground schooling as part of my degree and so have firm knowledge of how to ground school safely and correctly. I am efficient and skilled in long reining and lunging all horses to a high standard. I have also done some teaching as part of my degree and worked at a livery yard. This is something I want to further progress. I can school to a high standard and have a good understanding of how to work horses correctly

Type of Ride Work

I have predominantly ridden dressage, however I enjoy show jumping and cross country and would like to further my riding in all three disciplines. I have ridden many different types of horses from youngsters to fit competition horses as well as riding older horses all to a high standard. I have a good understanding of how to ride effectively and how to get the best out of any horse.

Competition Details

Whilst working at a livery yard I regularly groomed for various liveries in dressage, show jumping and cross country. I also have experience and knowledge of how to turn out for competition including clipping, trimming, plaiting and applying quarter marks.
