Equine Work Experience

I have many years experience within the equine industry, having ridden from the age of 4. I have competed at a local and county level with my own horses, mainly doing showing in recent years.

I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Equine Science. As part of my degree I studied a wide range of modules including biochemistry, nutrition and anatomy & physiology. I also have riding school experience, having been based on one for two years during my time completing an Equine Management college course. Part of this course involved doing the yard work for the school horses and ponies in the morning & evenings, as well as using them for ridden units.

As goes with horses I also have experience dealing with various injuries and illness, having rehabilitated following surgery & lameness, and have dealt with illnesses like colic. I currently have horses of my own, whom are all home-produced. I have backed / started youngsters and helped friends with problems with their own horses.

Specialities

I am efficient and tidy when working on a yard and confident handling a wide range of horses.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden a variety of horses, from freshly backed youngsters to problem horses and schoolmasters. At home, I do a variety of ridden work to keep my own horses fit & well rounded.

Competition Details

I have competed in various disciplines at a local level as well as shown a couple of times at County level.
