Equine Work Experience

I have been in the equine industry for the last 13 years. I have a wide range of experience from stallions at stud to eventing and teaching. I have previously worked at riding schools, teaching all abilities from complete novices to experienced riders and can cater for all abilities in a sympathetic and polite manner. I have experience breaking, backing and schooling a range of horses from retraining racehorses to breaking trekking horses, and have previously competed affiliated to newcomers, with lots of unaffiliated competition experience in dressage and eventing. And I’m experienced clipping, trimming and all other basic turnout duties. I strive for happy healthy horses in the work place and always succeed in maintaining the highest standards at any establishment.

Type of Ride Work

I have a vast experience with green, tricky blood horses and have started a range of horses from retraining ex racehorses to breaking trekking horses. I find working with youngsters the most rewarding of challenges and can offer sympathetic and kind riding. I’ve also had my fair share of tricky rides, from napping to bolting and can keep a clear, calm approach, without losing patience. My main area of experience is showjumping, although I can ride decently on the flat and have evented

Competition Details

I regularly volunteer to judge unaffiliated showjumping for the local riding club and have previously judged for the pony club in our area. I have previously competed to newcomers level with my own horses and have lots of experience in other unaffiliated events such as dressage and eventing. I have experience grooming for both amateurs and semi professionals.
