Equine Work Experience
I have been working at shuttle worth Equine centre for the past year and a half, where I have absolutely loved caring for the amazing horses and ponies. I feel it has taught me a lot and given me a real love for the industry and the job.
As part of my job role, i'm responsible for general jobs on the yard from mucking out, giving hay and preparing feeds, poo picking, schooling, hacking, lunging, grooming, bathing, fixing fencing, doing field checks, administering medication, assisting with vet/physio and dentist visits.
I love working on a yard, and always work hard to ensure I am completing tasks to the best possible standard.

After studying at shuttle worth college and going on to work there, I've been able to ensure I am able to muck out to a high standard and in industry time frames. I am a worker who will always give 110% into any job I'm given and I'm very passionate about continuing to learn and grow through my experience's. I'm also a very tidy and organised person, if I have a job I will make sure I have made a plan of what to do to ensure i'm time efficient and I always keep a clean and tidy area.
Type of Ride Work
I currently ride in my position, where I hack out the horses with the other staff as well as school and lunge them. At home I have my own horse who I ride 6 times a week, with a mixture of hacking and schooling.
Competition Details
I have done a few unaffiliated competitions with my own horse, we have done a few dressage tests and most recently we went to Equifest which was fantastic, where we competed in dressage and our first novice showing class.
I have been a groom for people at county level showing shows and I loved the whole atmosphere and everything about it. I really enjoy bathing and preparing horses for competition, including plating them up e.t.c.
