Currently studying Level 4 Management of Thoroughbred Breeding Operations Course by the National Stud. I studied Level 3 Animal Management at college. Here I learnt about a range of topics including biology, animal health and diseases, welfare and ethics, practical animal husbandry, breeding and genetics, vet nursing etc. Across these subjects I achieved D*, D*, D. I have also completed short online courses such as Health and Safety, and Equine First Aid.

• Preparing stables • Leading horses • Tacking up • Bathing and grooming horses • Preparing arenas for events • Field maintenance (i.e. harrowing, topping) • Assisting vet and farrier • Habituating foals to various stimuli • Administering medication • Attending sales • Viewing prospective stallions • Weaning foals • All aspects of day to day running of the stud

I have worked on a Thoroughbred Racehorse stud, working with ex-racers, youngstock, and horses out of training. Can work well as part of a team or independently.
